We are two brothers aged 18 and 16, who decided to support deprived children in our local community in Ghana - West Africa with books and boots. This idea dubbed “The Books and Boots Project” stemmed from our love for books and boots. Knowledge is power and by sharing books, we empower others with knowledge to take control of their lives and lead themselves to greater heights.
Everyone loves shoes! We realized how quickly we out-grow our shoes and don’t need them anymore, but others can make good use of them. As co-founders, we are investing our savings, books and boots, as well as mobilizing more books and boots from family, friends, and contributors to support underserved children in the Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA).
In the 2018-2021 Medium Term Development Plan of the GEMA, one of the critical issues affecting the quality of education in the Assembly is lack of adequate library resources. We are targeting children from K-12 (K-SHS) in the Abokobi, Akporman and Boi environs to benefit from this initiative.
We invite you to be active partners and contributors of our project to share knowledge (books) and provide security (boots) to underserved children.
Looking forward to your partnership.
